By day I work in professional engineering and technical support: diagnosing faults, working safely and writing it up properly. I've also studied engineering risk and project management.

At home it's a madhouse: kids, noise and endless projects. It became my lab, with a server rack on the wall, a smart home that survives small hands, apps written at the kitchen table and parts printed overnight. What work didn't teach me, I taught myself.
